Achieving Our Mission Objectives
We are a multi-disciplinary team, who work interdependently to ensure positive developmental outcomes for all children.
Our mission to give all children the best start in life will be achieved through five highly complementary and interdependent tracks of work: Horizon Scanning, Synthesising evidence, Evaluation and Scaling, Capacity Strengthening and Purposeful Innovation. Each track of work will inform and impact the other in a continuous improvement loop.
We take a multi-perspective approach to explore current, emerging, and transformative issues for the early childhood ecosystem.
We review and synthesise local and international evidence, including research from Singapore’s cohort studies, to understand factors that impact child development and the provision of nurturing care in Singapore and beyond. We identify gaps where new data and training are needed and work with our partners to fill them.
We disseminate our work to policymakers and practitioners and build capacity in the early childhood ecosystem through interdisciplinary training, seminars and workshops.
We balance research and practice expertise to contextualise evidence and innovate programmes, services and measurement tools. We draw on methods from behavioural and implementation science and prioritise co-development to put context and lived experience at the heart of this work.
We apply cutting-edge research designs and methods to evaluate innovations in context, and work with our partners to optimize implementation and scaling efforts for effective and sustainable programmes and services.
